Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Gameplay, wallpapers, trailer.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution is a cyberpunk-themed stealth/science fiction action role-playing video game developed by Eidos Montreal and published by Square Enix, which also produced the game's CGI sequences. Released in August 2011, it is the third game in the Deus Ex series, and a prequel to the original game released in 2000.You can order and download  Deus Ex: Human Revolution or other Deus Ex series here

The game is set in 2027, 25 years before the first title of the series, at a time when cutthroat multinationals have developed their operations beyond the control of national governments. The game follows Adam Jensen, the newly hired director of in-house security for an up-and-coming biotechnology firm specialising in human cybernetic enhancement, Sarif Industries. After a brutal act of industrial terrorist sabotage at Sarif's Detroit-based headquarters and primary R&D facilities, the mortally wounded Jensen is forced to undergo radical life-saving surgeries that replace large areas of his body with advanced prostheses. Upon returning to work, he becomes embroiled in the global politics of the human enhancement movement in the search for those responsible for the attack.

Human Revolution received critical acclaim upon its release, with many reviewers praising the open-ended nature of the game and the weight of social interaction on the outcome of events.

The different "pillars of gameplay", as called by the developers, are "Combat", "Stealth", "Hacking", and "Social". Players can switch between these gameplay types whenever they please, and certain pillars may flow into others. For example, a failed hack may sound an alarm and start a fight, and social skills might lead to the player gaining access to certain areas more easily than otherwise possible (thus avoiding the need for stealth).

In the series, Augmentations are technological modifications to the human body that grant the user superhuman abilities. While augmentations in the first two games were based on nanotechnology, Human Revolution instead features mechanical augmentations as it precedes the first games chronologically. As players progress through the game, they can activate augmentations catering to each of the four gameplay types.

While the player character is highly capable of bringing death on his enemies, the player is never forced into acts of lethal violence, except during boss fights. Therefore, the use of lethal force becomes an ethical choice for the player. In fact, players are awarded the Pacifist achievement/trophy only by completing the whole game (including the prologue chapter) without any NPCs dying by the player's hands. This includes not only direct actions such as the player character shooting and killing an opponent, for example, but also indirect methods like re-programming security robots or turrets to fire at and eventually kill the player's enemies. Even accidental kills like the player character performing a non-lethal takedown resulting in the NPC falling into electrified water or off a ledge make it impossible to earn Pacifist unless the player reloads a previous saved game. The only opponents the player may kill and yet still receive Pacifist are aforementioned bosses as well as non-human NPCs like security robots.

Augmentations, while enhancing the player's performance in each of the gameplay types, also allow players to craft their own methods of play as they see fit. For example, players can prioritize augmentations that either improve the player character's combat prowess or his hacking abilities while (mostly or completely) neglecting the other without ever being unable to complete a mission objective. Every enemy squad has an identifiable squad leader who directs the team's actions. If the leader is eliminated, the squad falls into disarray. Enemies also react to subtle player decisions, such as a change in behaviour or weapons, etc. Unlike in Invisible War, weapons will fire distinct ammunition types instead of depleting a unified pool. They can also be upgraded like in Deus Ex via a variety of so-called "weapon mods" to improve their performance, such as reducing the time it takes to reload, increasing magazine size, adding a laser targeting device for increased accuracy, and so on.

Deviating from previous titles in the series, Human Revolution uses a regenerating health model. This change was made because the developers did not want players to get into a situation where they were unable to progress due to low health, and would be forced to "scrounge for med packs" and food. This scrounging behavior breaks the flow of the game when the player retreats to search the entire level for medical supplies. Combat is highly lethal, so regenerative health is only a major factor between fights, not during them. However, the player can still use medical supplies (such as painkillers) and various alcoholic beverages to regenerate the character's health and even boost it up to twice the normal amount, i.e. 200 instead of 100.

Similarly to regenerative health, the game also features a new regenerative energy system, deviating from the previous title's use of items to restore energy. While players will still need to use items to boost their energy cell charge past one, the first cell or any cell partially full will gradually recharge. Despite upgrades to the energy recharge portion in the skills, ultimately only the first cell will recharge by itself when completely depleted.

Another major change seen in Deus Ex: Human Revolution is the highlighting of objects a player can interact with, explained via the in-game plot as tactical vision Augmentation. This feature can be seen in the gameplay preview released in March 2011. This highlighting of objects can be turned off in the game options.[16] Human Revolution is primarily a first-person game, but switches to a contextual third-person viewpoint when using the cover system, climbing ladders, activating certain augmentations, or for melee combat.

Tomb Raider 2012 preview

Tomb Raider is an upcoming action-adventure video game and the ninth instalment of the Tomb Raider series, published by Square Enix and developed by Crystal Dynamics as their fifth franchise-related title. The first in a third continuation, the game is set to provide no correlation to the entirety of the previous entries in the series; a reboot that emphasizes the reconstructed origins of the culturally influential lead character, Lara Croft.

Tomb Raider is scheduled for release in the third quarter of 2012 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Mac OS X.
Pre-order now!

The game begins with Lara devoid of any weapons, tools or essentials such as food and water, which the player must search for in order to survive. Sections of the island are restricted to the player until Lara is able to perform specific physical abilities achieved via a "skill system", or obtained the necessary equipment to advance. At frequent base camps throughout the world, the player can combine pick-ups to create new items, improve Lara's abilities and/or fast travel to previously discovered base camps to avoid copious amounts of backtracking. There is a "much larger emphasis" on combat, as this game will employ a manual "free aim" mechanic, instead of using a lock-on aiming system akin to previous Tomb Raiders.

The game introduces a "survival instinct" that Lara can use to solve puzzles. It will highlight useful items for use if the player is stuck in solving a puzzle. However, Lara can only do this while standing still. Some elements of the world crumble when Lara stands on them for too long. When the player jumps to grab a ledge, Lara will no longer magnetize to the nearest ledge like before. The player will also be able to change direction in mid-air. Puzzles will also be more complex than previous games; they will use elements of fire, water, wind, and friction. Helping hands and UI will be kept to a minimum, except for indications of burnable objects, health items, and during quick time events.

Total War: Shogun 2.Info, gameplay, download.

Total War: Shogun 2 is a strategy video game developed by The Creative Assembly and published by Sega. It is the latest installment in the Total War series and returns to the 16th-century Japan setting of the first Total War game, Shogun: Total War, after a series of games set mainly in Europe. The game was released on 15 March 2011.You can order or download Total War: Shogun 2 here

Shogun 2 received critical praise from reviewers. Facets praised include the simplification and refinement of the series by returning to its roots.

Shogun 2 is set in 16th-century feudal Japan, in the aftermath of the Ōnin War. The country is fractured into rival clans led by local warlords, each fighting for control. The player takes on the management of one of these clans, with the goal of dominating other factions and claiming his rule over Japan. The standard edition of the game will feature a total of eight factions (plus a ninth faction for the tutorial), each with a unique starting position and different political and military strengths. The limited edition includes an exclusive ninja clan, the Hattori, and a DLC unlocks a tenth clan, the Ikko-Ikki.

The game moves away from the European setting of previous Total War games and returns to the first setting in the Total War series, but making significant changes to core gameplay elements of Shogun 2. For example, to reflect the characteristics of East Asian warfare, the game's AI is designed on the principles of Sun Tzu's The Art of War. Also, compared to Empire which spanned almost the entire globe, the new installment focuses only on the islands of Japan (excluding Hokkaido) and on a reduced number of unit types.

Shogun 2 has a combination of turn-based strategy and real-time tactics gameplay, a staple of the Total War series. The player plays the role of both the clan leader and general, alternating between the campaign, where the player manages his land and armies turn by turn, and the battles, where the player takes control of the army on the battlefield in real-time.

In the campaign, the player needs to oversee the development of settlements, military production, economic growth, and technological advancement. The armies and units are organized and moved around the stylised campaign map by the player to carry out battles with other factions. In addition to fighting, the player is able to engage in diplomacy, political maneuvering, and special agents to gain the upper hand. Ninja and geisha are also present in the game as assassins and spies. While religion isn't as relevant as it was in Medieval II, it can't be neglected by the player. Greater interaction with the European foreigners (Nanban traders), for example, to enhance trade and acquire firearms, exposes the clan to Christianity, which will seriously increase religious unrest in the provinces. Religious agents, such as monks and priests can be used to convert the enemy population.

There are nine different clans that inhabit the provinces of Japan which the player chooses from (plus one more included in the Limited Edition of the game, and one added through DLC). All Clans have particular advantages in certain areas, in order to give a variety of play style with each.

Max Payne 3.Info, trailer, gameplay, wallpapers, pre-order

Max Payne 3 is an upcoming video game and the third title in the Max Payne franchise set to be published by Rockstar Games for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Development is led by Rockstar Vancouver in collaboration with the New England, London and Toronto studios. This is the first game in the series not to be developed by Finnish game developer Remedy Entertainment and not being written by series creator Sam Lake. The lead writer of Max Payne 3 is Dan Houser, who was also the writer of most games in the Grand Theft Auto series, and of Red Dead Redemption.Coming out on may 2012.Pre-order Max Payne 3 and get the Death Force Burst, which provides higher damage bullets in multiplayer.

Max Payne 3 is a third-person shooter in which the player assumes the role of its titular character, Max Payne. Max Payne 3 will feature the over-the-shoulder zoom aiming and cover mechanics. However, these will just serve as garnish to the game's classic run-and-gun shooting. Max Payne 3 will also make return of bullet-time in action sequences, which the franchise is notable for. In bullet time it will be possible to see every bullet make a hole in your foes.A "Last Man Standing" mechanic, which gives Max a reprieve from death for a small period if he has one painkiller on him. If the player is able to kill the enemy that delivered the wounding shot with bullets he'll recover enough energy to soldier on.

Max Payne 3 retains the shoot-dodge mechanic from the previous games. Max will also be able to stay grounded after a dive, which enables him to shoot 360 degrees around. Rockstar has blended physics and animation, so that when Max dives around, he does so appropriately according to his surroundings. Through advanced utilization of the Euphoria physics engine, shooting and killing enemies in Max Payne 3 will look noticeably more realistic than in any preceding Rockstar games as well.

New to the series are cinematic action movements, essentially interactive cut-scenes which will transition absolutely seamlessly into continuing game-play. More over there will be no Load-screens/Load-Progress-bars across game-play and cut-scenes, thus further engaging the player in Max-Payne's consciousness. Max must for example leap off a factory balcony, grab hold of a crane's hook and shoot at a crowd of thugs while swinging around in slo-mo. Should a thug get too close, Max can throw a few elbows and feet around to disarm and kill them in one crunching blow.

Prototype 2.Trailer, gameplay, wallpapers, pre-order best prices.

Prototype 2 is an upcoming video game set for release on April 24, 2012 in North America and April 27, 2012 in Europe. It is currently under development by Canadian developer Radical Entertainment and is the sequel to 2009's Prototype. The game will be published by Radical Entertainment's owner, Activision. The game will feature a new protagonist, James Heller, as he goes on a quest to destroy the Blacklight virus. The story is also one of revenge, as Heller wants to kill Mercer after his family was killed in the outbreak of the Blacklight virus. The game is set in an open world shown from a third-person view perspective. The game was announced at the 2010 Spike VGA Awards with the tagline "Murder your Maker.Preorder the game at best price here
James Heller can shapeshift and assume other people’s identities and memories by consuming them. Taking people's identities and shapeshifting into them has become more tactical. Due to Blackwatch's actions in the Yellow Zone, if the player assumes the role of a soldier, people will react to him in a way that they show they want nothing to do with him. To make sure that enemies do not overwhelm the player, Radical has created a dodging system and new, more realistic AI. Heller will be able to use weapons in the game, such as ripping the cannon off of a tank and using it against enemies. Heller can also sneak up on unsuspecting human enemies, inject the Blacklight virus in them and create a "BioBomb" out of them to blow up objects, enemies and such. Heller also has improved strength, movement, invulnerability (self-healing and endurance), and has a sonar sense. The sonar includes a new pulse ability that highlights the key features of an environment to make it easier for the player to find something or someone, instead of looking in a large crowd for a person with an icon above their head. Radical has stated that the powers will be more meaningful, they will come in mutations and upgrades that let players decide how they want to play as Heller.

To give gamers more power in the game, the developers have added tendrils. Tendrils sprout from Heller's arm and can be used for a variety of purposes. Players can use tendrils to smash objects into other objects, such as a car into a tank or vice-versa. Also, players can string up enemies in "webs", much like the abilities of Spider-Man, to make them vulnerable for further attacks. Players will be able to dismember enemies, a force that will become more useful as the game progresses. There are many more ways to kill enemies, ranging from throwing a tank at a group of Blackwatch soldiers, hacking off a mutant's head or using the tendrils. When the player picks up a person, the game will no longer automatically kill them, starting a combat sequence, Radical has tweaked this to become a useful tool, an intimidation factor.

Heller will not be given his missions by a person, but rather choose them himself. Hacking onto Blacknet, Blackwatch's system that details military operations and the three areas of NYZ, Heller chooses his own missions. Blacknet will allow Heller to find operations that he can disrupt or take control of for his own purposes, or find important people that will allow him to learn more about what he has become because of the Blacklight virus. It will also help him find out more about Alex Mercer and what his connections are to his family's deaths. The missions that are selectable can be sidequests or extensions to the main quest that tell Heller more about the Blacklight virus.
